Signs that Spring is just around the corner

This morning the street cleaner went by several times working on cleaning the streets. I was just noticing the other day as I crossed our street to our mailbox all of the salt and junk piled along the side of the roads.

As we were all eating breakfast I kept seeing a flash of red outside. As I watched out towards the alley, I discovered it was a cardinal. I always love to spy a bright red cardinal and this one was bright as could be against the blue sky on the awesome day we are having with temps in the 60s. Just hope he doesn't get too much closer to those power lines!
